The SOAS Min’yo group is a group of singers and instrumentalists who meet at SOAS with Dr David Hughes to learn and perform min’yo (Japanese folk songs).
We have a large group of singers, along with shamisen, shakuhachi and percussion players.
We perform regularly with our most recent performances being at the Southbank Tanabata festival and the Japanese embassy.
Our next performance will be at Hyper Japan on Saturday July 26th 2014 in the morning session.
